Actually, its not completely illegal. In some cases doctors are still allowed to preform it, but not in all states. The federal government, and the president are both trying to ban it, and other forms of abortion. Or atleast thats the last i heard of it a few days ago.

Anyway, ive never had one done, or known anyone who did. My cousin had a dialtion and extraction, although it wasnt so late in term as a real partial birth. She was 16 and her parents paid for it because she thought she wanted it. She's now nearly 40 and still is haunted by it. Still has nightmares, still cries about it, still feels horrible.

hmmm....I guess maybe it is nice to be oblivious like a few people are here! I mean no disrespect...I mean that honestly. For those who are asking, in a partial birth abortion, the baby is delivered. Well, just the head. Then an instrument...sciccors, etc...maybe not, but something similar...is pushed up the backside of the neck just under the skull to kill the baby. The deceased baby is then delivered. Some feel this is ok and not wrong becasue the child isn't *fully delivered* and so it's not born yet and therefore....blah blah blah.

Would not have one. I think it's pretty warped what our country has come up with. I may not have the details exact about the how and the specific things used, but i did go to a site online and read about it and see photos and such a long time back. Breaks your heart.....
