I wish to know the average monthly expenditure for a reasonably decent living for one family (Husband, wife and one kid) How much rent I need to pay per month for a fully furnished accomodation having 2 Bedrooms, one living room and kitchen? What is the cost of food items like wheat floor, rice, milk, fruits and vegetables, pulses and other grocery items? What are charges for water and electricity? How much I need to pay per month for a car driver?

According to my cousin, it needs at least 6000 dirhams for a decent living.

Housing will take about 4000 dirhams, water , milk, electricity takes about 500. Transport is cheaper. Mostly travel is by car as buses are point to point. If one has to take his family according to govt regulation he should get at least 6000 dirhams minimum. Rice is imported from Pakistan. Water is from sea, vegetables from India and Oman, pulses from Pakistan, India .
