A collegue sent me a link without a top level domain (.com, .net etc) and I can't open it, what can I do?

basically just an mp4 video. I know there are times when these kinds of links will open on our internal network and not outside. Could that have something to do with it?

try adding .com, .co.uk .net etc on the end. Without seeing the link it is hard to offer more suggestions - other than "ask your colleague for the full URL"

He probably sent you a link to a file he downloaded... what does the link say??

E-mail him back and ask for the complete address.
