Adamantium versus Uru, which is tougher?

Question

Can Thor's hammer, made of Uru, smash Ultron, made of Adamantium? Can Odin's spear Gungnir, also made of Uru, penetrate Captain America's Adamantium shield...? Could Wolverine's Adamantium claws slice Beta-Ray Bill's Uru hammer, Storm Breaker...? Have any of these pairs ever met in the comics?? Give me title and issu numbers, if you know them, plase. Thanks!

Thor vs Ultron in Avengers (vol 1) #67 (1)

Cap's shield is not adamantium. It is a steel-vibranium alloy.It has been identified several times as being a unique object in the marvel universe. Even though it is "unbreakable", it has historically been broken (at least) three times (2):
a) by the Beyonder in Secret Wars
b) as a side effect of repairing the shield in (a)
c) by Thanos with the infinity gauntlet

It was also dented by, and later fixed by, Thor (2) ,as well as being disintegrated and reconstituted by the Molecule Man (2).

Chances are that Uru is roughly as tough as adamantium, and that it is more of a matter of application of force and leverage as to which would break which.

Wolverine probably lacks the strength to cut uru with his claws regardless of which is harder. Thor obviously has the strength to damage Cap's shield (even if it requires backing by the "Odinforce") - however if the plot dictates, I'm certain that any of these objects could be broken.

1. Uru- is the strongest and has shown to have no weakness other then the wood handle on Thors hammer.

2. Captain America's shield is the second strongest, not for it's density, but for it's capability to absorb the energy within attacks.

3. Adamantium is the third strongest, because it has been proven to break or bend at certain pressures. An example of this would be the incomplete Limited Series Utimate Hulk versus Ultimate Wolverine. In the first comic, you see Wolverine being ripped in half by the Hulk. By the way, Wolverines bones are laced in Adamantium.

first of all, if you infuse a bit of reality here into your "weapons" analogies.

just because a metal is weaker doesn't mean it could be sliced through by a stronger metal, one would need a considerable amount of stregth. all it would mean is that that metal, would not break.

even in a situation where a weaker substance can be cut through doesn't mean it will happen. as the japanese found out when they got thier asses handed to them by the philipino peasants weilding bamboo sticks against the samurai's katana.

so regardless of the stregth of the metals, without enough force behind it, wolverine's claws aren't cutting through anything, thor's hammer isn't breaking anything and odin's spear isn't puncturing captain america's shield (especially since it is rounded and will disperse the spear point).

comic wise uru is stronger because it is a godly metal. captain america's shield is made of adimantum and vibranium making it stronger than wolverine's claws. I don't think one can break or ever has broken the other in any comic which is not because of the reality check above (wolverine has cut through steel which no matter how strong his claws are, he should not be able to do without the stregth to back it up, and wolverine was never said to have super stregth) but probably because the comics wanted these things to be indestructable and just invented different ways of saying that they were.

Yep shown in The story crossover" fear itself" and stated By Tony Stark.
And Settled.
After the Serpent the Fear God Broke it was reforged(glued together with Uru) there cracks in it now but the Uru made it even stronger. Side note ether Odin's Blessing or human belief make Uru Stronger. So Captain Americas shield even stronger now that belief empowers it...
