Because in the west, The big corporations give gifts of shoes,watches,cars and other products to the rich stars to seen in and the poor folk try to copy the big stars and then buy these products usually made in sweat shops in china,etc. These products have big profit margins but don't worry you can buy on credit at 29%. Looking cool! , in debt

Because it's the chavs/sheep Golden Rule to follow the crowd, and the crowd mostly wear Nikes.

Because they pay over rated footballers to wear their stuff and then all the sheep out there go and buy it. (No offence to real sheep - I mean consumer sheep)
