for my major at this college I supposedly have to take an internship and seminar class and would get 12 credits for it. On the list of courses it is listed as a single course among others, but next to it it says "STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN AN ACTIVE INTERNSHIP." Did anyone else ever have to take such a class? And do you know if it is the only class you can take for a semester, or can you also take other classes for that semester, too? The reason I am asking is because I will be a senior next year and I need to be able to take more than 12 credits both semesters in order to have enough to graduate on time. but if I can only take the internship and seminar thing then I will only be able to get 12. So can I also take other classes in addition to internshi and seminar?

I am currently a junior and have 68 credits now including the ones for the current semester, and I need 120 to graduate. The maximum # of credits you can take at this college is 18, or 6 classes per semester, so if I take 18 credits for spring 2007, then 18 for fall 2007 (my senior year) then I will have 104 (68+18+18), so I will still need 16 more. But the internship and seminar thing is only worth 12. So I would still have to be able to take something else in addition to the internship and seminar in order to get 16.

Look at the course description for your internship/seminar class in your college's catalog to see whether it stipulates that you cannot take other courses. You did not say what your major is but ordinarily students should plan to take no other classes while doing an internship.

You have averaged earning 13 to 14 hours per semester thus far so it does not seem to be realistic to plan on taking loads of 18-18-16 hours for your last three semesters. Why don't you plan on taking summer school and lightening your loads for next year?

After you have planned your last three semesters and summer school to the best of your ability (remember, not only do you have to have a total of 120 hours but those hours must meet all your major and general education requirements) make an appointment with your adviser to determine whether your plans are realistic.

Why aren't you asking your college advisor? They get paid the big bucks to answer those questions.
