The Hawks, Jazz, and Hornets are all playing very well. The Nets have also been impressive.

Clearly its the Utah Jazz. Hands down. But don't sleep on the LA Lakers. Andrew Bynum is showing a tremendous improvement at center, Kwame Brown is back, Jordan Farmar from UCLA is a suprise and the Lakers are as deep as they were in there last championship run. All put together they've had an impressive 5-3 start with wins over Phoenix, Seattle and Minnesota.

This early into the season, I have been impressed with the play of the Atlanta Hawks, who seem to find a way to win despite not having the services of Speedy Claxton and Marvin Williams who are out due to injury.
The stellar play of the Utah Jazz also comes to mind, with Carlos Boozer finally living up to his $60 million dollar contract, the Jazz are finally playing a good tune.
Hope this helps.

as surprising as the jazz are this year, it comes as no surprise to me at all that they'd be this good. i mean they've always had the talent. it was just a matter of staying healthy. i've been saying for the past three years ever since they got boozer they'd be a legit team.
but my surprise comes in the lakers. maybe because the purple and gold get the most media exposure, people just overlook them and assume they have kobe and that's it. but they don't see how surprisingly well they're doing as a team. who knew bynum would develop this early? no one in los angeles did. and who figured luke could finally step up his game and make his turnaround jumper? if only they could sell radmanovic and get someone decent. but the problem the lakers need to focus now on is how to get lamar to play like he does when kobe's NOT there.

The Atlanta Hawks. Joe Johnson is a great fit there and look at what Tyron Lue is doing now. Holy **** no way we thought these guys would be in the playoff hunt.

The Hornets are doing it up. Chris Paul doing a good job taking that team. They have a tough division but I think they can slide in the playoffs.

I think everybody's impressed with the Hawks. It's like after last year they all went in a phone booth, ripped their shirts off and came out like Superman, especially Tyron Lue and Joe Johnson.

Utah because you see how they beat one of the best teams last night. Not only that, they combination of Boozer, Okur, and Deron Williams have make a winning combo and I think that they are going to win the Northwest Division.
