This is for any overweight woman............How do you cope when you are constantly being discriminated against, whether it is a job you know you didn't get because of your weight,or men don't talk to you,or ask you out.I have struggled with my weight for a while now,I'm not happy about it at all,but have failed trying to lose it.I have seen women staring or making snide remarks and it really hurts. Why can't people understand that heavier people have life hard enough without the constant critisizm????I would love to find a boyfriend but men constanly treat me like crap, how to you try to remain positive when so many things are bringing you down?Only serious replies please,Thanks

I know you said for all overweight women and even though I'm not I can understand what your saying. My mom was always overweight as well as one of my best friends. Now my mom was always trying every diet she could find and they all seemed to fail for her. With my friend who wants to lose weight I gave her some advice which seems to have worked pretty good. I told her don't give up on what you love to eat just cut it in half. Also she was always big on pop so she switched to drinking water instead. This has helped her to start losing weight. I'm sorry people say things in regard to your weight since it's not right. But just know those that do this have their own problems and that is why they pick on others. Hang in there and smile, cause a smile can go a long ways. ;o)

I'm sorry but being over weight is not a desease. You can lose the weight. I used to be a size 14, now I am a 5. I do not excersise but I do watch what I eat. I never finish all of my food, I always leave some on my plate. You can't complain that you are overweight when your eating so much. Like for example, I was at the deli this morning and this overweight lady came in ordered a hungry man breakfast sandwich and a diet coke....what is that about??? Like drinking a diet coke will make a differnece when you just finished a hungry man hero...How can anybody possible think they will lose weight eating like that? Losing weight is about changing your lifestyle and if your not ready to do a major change then you are not ready to lose the weight. I used to be able to eat a whole pie (pizza) now I can't even finish a second slice...you have to train your body. Honestly, you get one body in a life time and you have to take care of it. It's not about popping pills and killing urself in the gym, you can just watch what you eat and go for a walk/run everyday. That will be enough to get you going down the right path. Good luck and I hope I didn't make you feel worst. (If I did, Im sorry)

I guess because I am so short, I am considered heavy for my size, but no what? I don't have problems with society much less men because I love myself and DO NOT care what others think because true beauty lies within!! You're right there is so much negativity around this world and life, but I only worry about what I have to do to be a great mother to my boys, and damn, sometimes being a single momma working full time and going to school is exhausting, but it will only pay off in the future! Thats just my opinion because my sister is 5' 8 and has the model body, but she thinks she is ugly and she isn't, but you're only beautiful if YOU think you are!

Hi, I have been overweight for 20 years but I have Friends and great job, I have a family and life is getting better everyday. First thing is you newed to love yourself, others can't see your glowing inside if you don't let them. You need to put yourself out there quit feeling sorry for yourself and show everyone the person you are don't take people treating you like crap. Guys, girls whatever, you do you must be for-right in showing the real you. Good luck and I will pray for you tonight, and you can email me anytime and I will respond.

Can I say something from a guys perspective? Being overweight is seen as unattractive by many, because that is how we have been conditioned in our society. Additionally there are many health issues involved with being overweight. With that being said, most people look at overweight people with an automatic prejudice, just because that is how they are conditioned. Now I know many people that are overweight, men and women. What I have noticed is that there are attractive and unattractive overweight people. The difference I have noticed is how they feel about themselves, how they look at themselves and how they take care of themselves. When you start feeling good about yourself, changing your attitude about yourself, dressing nice and fixing yourself up to look nice, that will bleed into how others will see you. So stand up, dress up, feel good about you, like who you are and what you are, smile and remember that you are beautiful, regardless of what people say. When you start walking with a little bounce in your step, a smile on your face, dressing like you feel good, you will see a change in the people around you.

Yes, it is a great problem. Now, put aside the critisim, you should still try to lose it the best you can. I am not talking about any men, it is more towards into the health issue.
