Why do people drive around in daylight when its not foggy with their fog lights on.Are they blind and need a bit of extra light or is it because they want to look cool but fail miserably cause normaly they are as ugly as sin.

Simple answer to a simple question. They are so ignorant and inattentive that they forget where the switch is and fail to notice the warning lamp on their dash. Such incompetents should be prosecuted and banned (for a short period - just long enough to inconvenience them - I am sure their memories and driving would improve)

Usually you can find these on the 4wd suv's that have the low profile tires and the "dub's" Another "highroller" blunder First off if the lights are clear they are driving lights . They light up the side of the road better for cornering in high speed driving. Generally they shouldn't have them on. The fools that drive with them are just that. The head lights on all the time was one of the dumbest things anyone could have come up with. Now it is common place to see headlights and this stops the recognition of motorcycles on the road killing far more than the car drivers it was supposed to save.

I live in a rural area and use my front driving lamps at night on dark twisty rural roads to get a bit of extra light on the road edge, without the risk of dazzling oncoming cars coming around a bend with my full beam.
Never use them in daylight though.

I think you are getting mixed up with road lamps,they are on the front of the car which should be used for motorway driving or in the country, where as fog lights are on the back of the car and are red.I agree with you they are awful ,if only people read the manuel before driving the car in the first place.

Because it helps others see you, and if its a crappy day alot of people dont bother to turn the lights on anyways. In some places its a law to have your lights on during the day, i think in canada it is.

Becuase think it looks realy cool! it's not it just dazels the driver on coming and behind! Especially at night when your behind a vechile it gives you a headache because of the selfish person in front who just wants to look cool.....get rid of these!!! They are so selfish!!!

some cars 1980-1999 ish, fog lights (and even some today) rely on a switch that once switched 'on' is not 'off' until the driver moves it back.
Drivers are lazy and unless you are forced to turn the lights off, they will stay on.
On some newer cars, the fogs must be turned on every time. (Jeep Wrangler)
Some, they are on all the time (ford excursion)
It is actually safer, cars with lights on are involved in less accidents...
Canada even has Daytime Running Lights as a LAW since 1998 i think...

More likely they are just plain stupid, ignorant or just forgot to turn them off not noticed them to be any more ugly than most people

My stupid NEW car has the lights on all the time, and I hate it.
And my OLD car didn't have this feature.
