I think the VERY best use of duct tape is to make a dress and tuxe for prom and then win a scholarship. Some of the creations are absolutely amazing (very fancy) and are made entirely of duct tape (there are more colors than the traditional silver).

You can also make lots of stuff other than clothes like wallets, purses, cups, etc.

It's an extremely versitile medium for the creative person. Check out the links below for more info on what you can do with duct tape!

The BEST use of duct tape? While like everyone else, I will admit there are many uses for it, the best one I have discovered so far, would be for repairing a leather rocking chair with rips in the leather - I found that some bright company started making duct tape in different colors, and picked up one that closely matched the leather of the rocking chair.

There are many uses for the remarkable duct tape. Once, years ago,I used duct tape and chicken wire to make a fender for my old beer drinking car. Then I spray painted the tape to closely match the rest of the car.Talk about good old redneck engineering.

Duct tape has a list that goes beyond the moon and back.
If its tore ,riped,broke.unglued.damaged,needs bounded, and just plain needs too be held together.and mostly if you have any duct work .such as furnace pipes lead ind out of your furnace this will do .Gee imagine fixing duct work with duct tape.what a coincidence.

Ironically, the worst use is for ducts. I think the best use is removing warts. You cut a circle and put it on the wart until it dies. No kidding, it really works.
