Snoring cures almost all revolve around clearing the blockage in the breathing passage. This is the reason snorers are advised to lose weight (to stop fat from pressing on the throat), to stop smoking (smoking weakens and clogs the throat), and to sleep on their side (to prevent the tongue from blocking the throat).
Surgery is one option to cure snoring (for example a uvulopalatopharyngoplasty); dental appliances such as a mandibular advancement splint are another. There are many devices such as nose clips to keep the nose open and jaw mechanics to keep the jaw in the right position. A pinky ring is purported to reduce snoring through accupressure. Different aids work for different people. According to the British Medical Journal, playing the didgeridoo can also help. In the Summer 1999 edition of The Journal of Sleep and Breathing a featured article show cased the results of an independently conducted, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study of the effects of a homeopathic remedy, in the management of snoring. Of the 90 subjects in the study, more than 79% of those in the treatment group reported improvements in their snoring conditions at the end of 10 days. More than 43% of these patients reported snoring had been eliminated completely, or at least reduced significantly.

HE is probably experiencing sleep apnea. This can be surgically corrected and it STOPS the snoring. My friend uses the snore strips they can be found at any pharmacy or Wal-Mart, Target and or Wal-greens. They help some by opening up the nasal passages. It also depends on the position he sleeps in, if his head is downward he is blocking his airway. Head up opens the airway and allows free breathing with no constriction. I would suggest the doctor first of all. I worked for me and 2 of my friends

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Is he overweight? get him to lie sideways when ever he snores. That will correct it. Also overeating at night may cause snoring. Keep him from lying flat when asleep. You might also be too sensitive to his snoring. Talk about it with him.

The breath right strips don't work if he has the bad case, They have a surgery that takes the Andonis ( I know I did not spell it right) out to stop the snoring, One of my family members had it done.

Try the breathing strips you put on your nose to spread it open better. Really works for many people, my son snores like an elephant, and we make him use the strips --they do stop the snoring or at least reduce its volume.

Have him roll over so he is not sleeping on his back. He should make sure he does not have sleep apnea since that could lead to his death. He needs to see a doctor to check that out.
