No. I wasn't a big fan of the movie, but that was amatter of personal taste rather than the portrayals.

I do think even though maybe a bit too much a caricature of the people and times, it was a positive step forward for lgbt community.

No, but I would love to see a movie about an enduring same-sex relationship that ends happily, or at least is very long and honest. (I keep thinking our Rose P's story can be adapted into a great screenplay, or that of Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, lesbian activists who have loved each other for over fifty years.) I'm tired of the tragedies. And in real life, so often it's small issues that come between a couple. Jack and Ennis seemed to "vacation" from their real lives with each other--what if they'd lived together?

I have the movie on DVD, I have watched it many times, and I am grateful to the makers for showing the damage that bigotry does to people in a serious portrayal. It is one of my favorite movies.

Even so, I thought the first sex scene was too brutal, I skip through it when I watch the movie again. The second sex scene is so beautiful!

It didn't offend me, however I don't understand wow the public made such a big deal about it. It was ok, but just because it had gay cowboys, it was suddenly a phenomenal film. I personally think that the gay community has better films that should be celebrated..

It didn't offend me. It bored me though. And I don't think I found it all that realistic.

I don't understand what all the fuss with this movie was. There are much better gay themed movies.

I'm not much of a movie critic so I didn't go very deep into the plot, and also because I wasn't interested in seeing it from the beginning

No, the only part that really bothered me was when Jack got bashed toward the end, that made me cry. Actually, I liked the movie, it had some beautiful scenery in it. I thought it was well done. :)
