Is it their Celtic Asterix roots? I am serious, why are they so charmful? I like them a lot. Am I the only one who feels this way?

im irish and ive been called charmin. it seriously comes naturally to us, but i think it has something to do with confidence

Well, I'm English so I'm afraid I can't agree about the French - no way! Obviously, there are always exceptions to the rule, but in general the French have treated me with disdain and are singularly unhelpful. I do speak French and absolutely love that language but have always felt it was wasted on those people!
Yes, I think the Irish have a natural charm - there's a reason they have the "blarney" nickname - good talkers!

Well everyone bar the chavvy type people here in Ireland are charming and too friendly.

They aren't. They are the same as anyone else; just individuals. The French are now known to be rude and obnoxious, in fact. But you will find nice people among anyone.

The French are arrogant cowards and the Irish are drunken fighters. I don't find either of them as charming as Australians.
