How to delete icons located in the system tray in Win XP?

I do not find any related file in Startup folder, yet I see a icon of a programme in tray. Every time in start my computer, i need to close the programe. I am searaching for a permanent method so that the icon never is displayed in the system tray.

What program is it? Try right clicking it in the taskbar and looking for "properties" or something similar... lots of times there's a box you can uncheck to disable starting up when windows starts.

Alternately, goto the start menu and hit "Run..." type msconfig and hit enter.... Hit the last tab called startup and look in there for the name of the program and uncheck it, and it wont startup again. You may have to expand the column that tells the location of the file on the system to figure out what those processes are for, because sometimes the names can be a little vague.
