So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.
Why haven't we heard from them?
Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.
Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.
Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.
Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.
Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.
It is really impossible to know for sure.
The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Despite all of the press about the secrets of Roswell and Area 51, no one has provided any shred of evidence that alien beings exist. So either they do not and or we do not have enough technology to determine that they do, or as some believe we are being duped by the world governments into believing that they don't exist and have never existed in a massive secret cover up. Its the stuff great science fiction novels are made of, but no real tangible evidence has been presented by either side.

Definetly, but my answer won't be as huge. They do exist and I'm pretty sure they are smarter then us, they always hide the evidence that they were here, but sometimes a recruit will always get spotted by humans and probably will be punished, or they are just checking up on us, mabey they are god? There are many spottings so surely they are real, I mean cmon we're not the only living planet are we? I really think there are aliens and they are trying to contact us.

Though we have no proof one way or the other, it is more than probable that aliens exist. Mainly due to the enormous number of possible worlds in other stars/galaxies.

This question has been asked by several ppl.But who knows tht they really exist...i mean there cant be such thing in the universe as "aliens"........they r just ment for tales and fantasy movies.but science have still not proved it properly. Many videos have been made on this...but who knows tht r they fake or original?
so this question is a mystery n i guess sum mysteries should remain unseen....;)

of course. to think otherwise supposes that in all the billions of solar systems in all the billions of galaxies there could not been conditions compatible with life. refer to Drake's equation for some help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation
Point is that with as many different forms life on Earth has take, it seems highly unlikely that similar chemistry must have occured elsewhere.
