actually, i have not gained weight, nor have my feet grown...i go through this every year and usually have to gradually get back into them...therefore, i was looking for something quicker that may work...and soaking in cold water is not a fix...it's a temporary shrinkage...duh...

Sounds to me like you're losing the arches in your feet. That can happen when you wear shoes like flip flops and heels that do not properly support your feet. I would recommend getting a pair of custom orthotics made. They are molded specifically to your feet and can prevent future damage to your feet, and even reverse some of the damage you've already done. You can probably talk to your doctor or a local chiropracter about orthotics. They can run expensive, but they will save you from trouble with your feet and your entire body in the future.

Flip flops will not change your feet. They may have grown or something. Go to a good shoe store....and have your feet measured for size. Everyone's feet keep growing throughout their life, so it wouldn't be unusual for this to have happened to you. And wearing shoes that don't fit...a no-no. Bunions are not a fun thing...trust me.

I (as do most women) also wear flipflops all summer, and have never had this problem with my feet come winter. I have no idea why this would happen. You are just going ot have to wear them until they stretch out a little.

start gradually by wearing a pair of heels around the house. Slowly graduate to wearing them in short spurts out in public. After that you should be alright.

Flip flop do not make your feet wider. Your feet either grew or you gained weight.

Just keep wearing flip flops or maybe buy some bigger shoes. Your feet might have grown without you knowing.
