A little of both. Nuture from environment and exposure to culture. Nature from the chemical balances in the brain, natural and unnatural.

This is a raging debate that has gone on for years. As best psychologists can determine, based on things like studying twins who have been separated, it's about 50/50. One's genetics (nature) gives one tendencies or predispositions towards developing a certain way, but one's acutal experiences (nurture) determine whether or not those predispositions will be realized.

As a mother who originally believed that nurture was everything and had a rude awakening when I had my son, I believe that nuture can sometimes overcome nature, but probably 70-80 % of your personality is in your genetics. This is totally my own opinion.

The basic "template" - or foundation - of your personality is attributed to the mental makeup of your personality ascribed to you at birth. How that personality develops is attributed to your upbringing - or nurture.

Personality can be attributed to both, however don't confuse personality with sexual orientation, they're not the same. Orientation is nature.

i think both - some personality traits just seem to be there without any other explanation except that they must have been there at birth...other personality traits develop due to environment, life experience, etc.
