When will we ever reach a stage where these things will stop bothering us? Why are we still hung up on race? When you are dating this guy, why does the thought that it could be a bad thing even occur to you? No its not bad if both party in a relationship are mature enough & sensible about it. But now that you have posted this question, sit back & think if you really are confortable with status quo!

I don't understand why this is even an issue. My children are mixed and they are 16 and10 they are african american, sicilian and native american. Their Dad is black. They are absolutely beautiful. If you two are good for eachother don't let that stand in the way. No it's not a bad thing. Your kids will be accepted by everyone and if anyone has a problem with it they will get over it. If you love this man and he loves you thats all that matters.
Good luck and I'm sure they will be a knock out most mixed kids are.
Notice my name SicilianMix?

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH! Now that I got that out, let me say NO!

How can having a child be a bad thing simply because the person is of another race. Are you weakminded? If not, then you shouldn't care what society thinks.

I'm black and my fiance is german/vietnamese and we have a gorgeous 10 month old daughter. We don't give a DAMN about what anyone thinks and if anyone does/says anything disrespectful, they better be ready for our reprisal.

It's all about strength. People will knock you down if you let them. Stand up for yourself and life your life the way YOU want it. Not based on some archaic social system that has been proven to be ridiculous.

Well love comes in all colors...I would weigh the options..how does your family as a whole feel about this?,How does his family feel about this?Think also about our society........I suppose all I am saying is marriage is hard enough even without children, and if you do not have a good support system it could really hurt. After weighting all the options,if you and your b/f feel that you can fight all the oppossing problems, then do whats in your hearts to do,I just want you to know that society is cruel,so you will need to be supported in your decision by some part of your family. You do know that white and black people have issues with this...If you and your boyfriend decide to have childre ,i wish you lots of happiness...Good luck to you two

Can't no one answer that question but you .And so what if he's black. What you want to do depends on you ask your self these questions
1. Is he good to you.
2. Are you thinking about marriage?
3. Would you be worried if you had a bi-racial child?
4. Are you ready for children because you want to or is it because he wants to?
5. And most importantly are you guy's in love?

THEN AFTER THAT GO FOR IT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO .BEST OF LUCK 2 YOU 2.

If you two are happy and want to be together for the rest of your life, then go ahead and get married and then start a family. It is so important to have both parents there to raise the child. A stable environment is great for a child. Don't worry about what people say about you or your child. You just raise your child to not see color when they look at people, but to see their hearts. LOVE HAS NO COLOR!! For any of you racist out there, it is really time to grow up!

Well take it from one who knows, I had three children in the 70's they are all three gorgeous, most black kid's hated on them, most white kid's looked at them strange, but we, My husband and i worked very hard to get out of the slum, and the ghetto, to put our children in a better area. I'm sure they've felt the pressure of Jealousy. My daughter looks like Hallie berry, my son looks like the rock, and the other son hates white people and i never see him at all. If you love each other, you're gonna have to. My father would hide the pictures of my children, while he displayed the white grand kid's of my siblings. So although the mixed kid's are mostly good looking they have to suffer too. Because of HATERS! If i had it to do over again, I'd never been born at all. I have two brothers who dis owned me in the 70's. If you want to know the truth, my daughter has a daughter who looks like a blue eyed, barbie doll and she's 1/4 black, all the kid's are jealous of her. So all of us are mixed with something. i say rock on, but make sure you have the education to make the money to make your life and theirs a good one. If you have enough money everything works.

First of all, wait until you are married to have children. You have no idea of the hardship you will have if you aren't married. Consider how difficult life will be for mixed race children. Will your family accept them? I have no problem with it at all, but you will have to live in a world that is very judgemental and harsh.

No, but you both have to consider how interacial children (if you are a different race, that is) will fare in the town you live in. Unfortunately certain people still don't take change very well.

Good luck

If you love him, there is absolutley nothing wrong with you two having children. The only thing is that you have to take into account wether or not you are financially and emotionally ready to have children, but otherwise ther is nothing wrong with it
