Hmmmmmmmmmm.... well, biblically speaking, God has destroyed two cities filled with people with his own hands, gave Samson the power to commit mass murder and suicide, and also gave David the power to commit murder on someone who opposed him. We cant get confused on biblical question if we dont know the history. I wouldnt say he is or isnt on our side, but to cry peace when thats no always the right option. War is a horrible thing, but it has helped us in vast ways. Getting rid of slavery, getting us out of the worst financial drout, and saving the jews to name a few.

No, I don't think that God takes sides in wars. If anything, I think that God would be pro-peace.

Look at it this way, God was so hung up on himself that he though he could go into Iraq, wipe the desert with Allah and be the victor. That didn't work out well for God.
So, we have to ask ourselves, was George Bush really channeling God's will, or is the President simply a delusional neoconservative?
I suspect...not being one who believes in those two giant mythical creatures, the President is simply a delusional neoconservative.

No.
Every insugent sets an IED or goes off to battle with the prayer "God is Great! " AlQuaeda is full of very religious people who cry " God is Great!" The Taliban cheer "God is Great!" before battle. Osama Bin Laden is quite certain that the US is the "great Satan" and as far from god as possible, and more than a few people agree with him. President Bush recieves his instructions from a "higher power" and so did not have to listen to anyone else for the last 5 years because he had god in his side.
As long as religion is so easily corrupted to anyone's purpose, as long as religious texts are full of butchery and slaughter by the blood-thirsty deity, and as long as people read that material literally, there will not be an end to this awful foolishness, and everyone, as they always have, will turn to their religions to find justification for barbarism.
Can you really blame secular people for wanting to have no part of any of it?

Anyone who says that God is on their side is both dangerous and un-Christian. A true Christian, a true believer thinks they are on the side of God, not vice versa.

Every side believes that. We had no business getting involved in this war so it is hard to believe that there is a higher power that supports it.

its not unreasonable... the old testiment is riddled with wars fought for God... Im not completely sure how i feel about this war but i know that i will never condemn anyone for claiming God is on our side... "Blessed is the nation who's God is Lord"

I guess we are to assume "our" side is the US as Yahoo! is a western corporation. It's reasonable to believe terrorists use Yahoo! Answers too though and Allah is certainly on their side.

I don't think g-d is on anyside of the war. I think g-d is for peace on Earth. Even if you believe in the concept of "just war" espoused in the bible, this war doesn't meet the test because it was unprovoked.
