Recently bought a canon MP450 all in one scanner photocopier printer and I am well pleased with it. My last printer was a epsom thingybob used to spend a lot of time trying to get it to work properly gave up in the end.

Currently we like HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One: moderate price, has scanner, reads memory cards, decent print. We don't buy extra-expensive super-heavy-duty-high-end industrial-strength printers. HP's been good, and we cycle through a printer every two years.

this all depends on what you want out of it .. i paid 100 dollers for my epson 220 it prints good photos and it also prints disk,,you can go on line and buy 4 ink refels for it for around 50 dollers , verses 100 for 1 at best buy or stapels,, it dose not have a scaner with it but you can get a upgraded one that might cost a little more but has one , so what do you want it to do ..?

i would recommend the Hewlett Packard range i have had one for 3 years and no problems with it ( the only drawer back is the cartridges are on the expensive side) also if you are short on space you may wish to think about a all in one package
