What are your feelings about "Titanic"?

Although the story was, first and foremost, a love story, you cannot ignore that it took place during a horrific event that is a TRUE STORY. I think that the movie's portrayal of the terror and panic that those people felt was very realistic and moving, helped by the occasional focus on minor characters like the old couple dying in bed together. It really brought it home that that really happened to those people. The love story was a bit cheesy, but that's often the case and you just have to take it for what it is. Overall, I think the movie did the tragedy justice, watching it for the 3rd+ time, you begin to focus less on paying attention to the plot and more on what the people must be feeling, and it's very chilling.

I wasn't a fan of the love story...but then again, that type of genre doesn't really appeal to me. However, I've always been fascinated with the history of the Titanic, so it was really interesting to see all the "background" stuff behind Jack & Rose because of how historically accurate it was. Seeing the ship, the interior decor, the period outfits...even down to exact words that were said and breeds of dogs actually on the ship...those were the parts that were incredible.

Titanic the Musical is a masterpiece of musical theatre.

Titanic the movie is good from a technical standpoint. The special effects are great. The story (more specifically, Jack and Rose's story) pretty much sucked.

I think it's funny how the same people who went and saw 'Titanic' 50 times at the movies, are the same people who always dismiss it now as a bad movie. Truth is, it's one of the best made movies ever, and certainly the best one of our time. It may not be cool right now to like Titanic but one day it will be. Again.

I found it bloated & overbearing. The special effects are very good, & the movie really picks up when the ship hits the iceberg.
But the script is DREADFUL. Billy Zane makes me want to gag. Leonardo DiCaprio spouting late 20th century slang is very annoying.
The most redeeming quality of the movie, besides the SPFX, is Kate Winslet, who, I think, gives a stunning performance. Plus, she looks good.

I did feel nothing, it's a over rated movie.
Great production but very slow on developing, and the actors had much more talent to show.
Want to see a good movie that got me thinking?...if you said yoes...,

after seeng this film i keep asking why was clive owen not chosen to be the next James Bond? And Anjelina telling us that she is more than big boobs and nice lips and most of all saying:
-Dont forget, i won a oscar and this is why!!!
Watch it! -You may like it you may not, but you will not regret t!!

My feelings on this is mixed:
It was good, long but also sad, of course, towards the last 30-40 minutes of it...........I don't know how anyone can see this
movie more than 2 times.
