i have been taking the pill for 5 years and you can have unprotected sex after 7 days. You may want to use a condom aswell to protect against STD's unless you are in a long term relationship and both you and partner have had STD checks. 7 days is when it is into your system. Id wait 8 days though to be on the safe side then provided you take it every day after that as directed then you will be fine!
Have Fun but dont take any risks with STD's!

I'm on the Ring, and would never switch back to the pill. It's way more reliable, and you can have unprotected sex after 7 days, since it's a consistent dose. You can take it out for sex, too.
Lower dose of hormones, so check it out!
With the pill, I was told one month. I think it's because so many people are getting into the swing of taking the pill at the same exact time every day, and the pill is so finicky about that. You have to be pretty precise, from what my doc told me.
Hope this helps.

You would be safer to wait longer than a week before having unprotected sex but you also must remember to use protection against STD's if you are a single person going on birth control. Also remember that no birth control is 100% effective so it can fail at any time.

It should be a week. Regardless of taking the pill, you should still use protection. There are so many STD's out there that can cause infertility, or other Very serious conditions such as cancer. Even if your partner shows No symptoms, most men are just carriers of the diseases and most diseases have no symptoms in men. So be careful.

I don't know about the pill but my doctor put me on depo-Provera. Its a 3 month injection and it begans working IMMEDIATLY once it is injected. And its last for 3 months with out having to remember to take anything daily. Maybe you should ask your doctor about that. Just a suggestion.

Yea, I don't think you have to wait months, like mentioned before, at least 8 days would be ok.
