The proper meaning of life has not been found yet, not at least according to this morning's news bulletins. The intelligent folks round the world, however, are trying their best to find out the answer to this all-important question - what is the meaning of this life, after all, that we all think we have? This is puzzling us all now. We simply cannot progress, or develop, or stopping bickering and fighting among ourselves until we know for sure what is this all about once and for all. Whenever a definitive answer is found it will be made known to all members of the public through newspaper, television and radio - the media people really do not know, they would have told everyone if they had. Just stay tuned and ready to receive the news!

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

Everybody who has answered this question, has not understood the question. The meaning of life isn't "To live happily"; that would be the answer to the question "What would be the best way to live life?"
The question is a fallacy. How can 'life' have a meaning. Life is a noun. It would be the same as asking "what is the meaning of apple?" If one were to say "of course life has meaning, what is the meaning of human life, or my life? What is the purpose of life?" These are all different questions.
Modern Philosophers have rejected this question as impractical, & unanswerable untill it can be refined to make linguistic sense.

The meaning of life to each one is different, some only think it is what they can get out of life, while other think what they can give to life!

The Monty Python movie? No... on a more serious note, I believe the "meaning of life" is pretty much unanswerable! However, my friends and family and pet snake are the meaning of my life. That probably doesn't make sense though!

That is a question you have to find out for yourself.
You will not find the answer to that question on here, only other people's views on their own life, from their own experiences.
Go out into the world and discover, explore and live your own life, only then will you have your meaning.

Everyone has to find their own meaning. I believe the purpose of life is to find your own meaning and follow it through until the sea.
