I'm flying in to Ft Lauderdale, Florida on Thanksgiving and I just want to know what my options will be as far as purchasing alcohol in the state on a holiday.

perfectly legal to buy on a holiday, you just have to find the right store open.publix, albertson's should be open

Winn Dixie and Albertsons are open in Orlando until 4PM on Thanksgiving and have beer and wine. Some stores have adjoining liquor stores. ABC liquors also will be open. SOme Walgreens also have adjoining liquor stores which will be open.

I assume the same will be applicable in Ft. Laud.

You must be from Georgia...we can't buy liquor anywhere on certain holidays or any Sunday. In Florida, I think the only condition is that you have a photo I.D., there are no restrictions otherwise...

As long as you're 21, it's fine, but they stop selling it at certain time everyday, not just hollidays
