They say the average is 98.6 however, my son has always had a lower temp of 96.5. Each person is different. Check the child when you know they are health, check it a few times a week and not when they first wake up, after they are up for a bit to find out their normal temp. If you don't know with this child for sure, I would say between 97-98.6. If it's over 100, they are ill and should be given tylenol.

Babies run a little bit warmer than adults. Most of the time, a Dr. won't worry about a baby's temp until it's 100 +

98.6 degrees. But you do not stay at that temp all the time.It veries depending on your enviorment.By the book that is normal body temp.
