Eek!! I remember mom having a wringer washer. I, being the idiot I was and still am, stuck my arm in it. I was freaking out!
For the record, I'm not that old. We were extremely poor when I was young.

I remember my grandma's wringer washer. She broke her arm in it & I also remember being taught how to work it when I was a child so that I could help her during her recovery.

Nope, but I heard my grandmother talk about it before. She is 87. The only time I ever "made" soap was in art class for a project when I was in junior high. I am old enough, though, to remember our first microwave, first TV with a remote, first VCR, first portable music player, first personal computers, and the first cell phones. I also remember before the internet when information was available through bulletin board service to which you connected with a modem. Our household was hightech, as I used "Grolier's Electronic Encyclopedia" in bibliographies. I also typed my papers on the computer and printed them on a dot-matrix printer. This was about 20 years ago, and look how far we've come just in that time. ;-)
