Asda is cheap enough for most people especially if you live on the breadline there are many bargains to be got.
I find it very good shopping there for presents (Birthdays weddings etc)
They quite often have buy one get one free on certain goods which is also quite handy.
The only thing that really gets my goat about asda is that they seem to have the habit of taking off items from thier shelves for months at a time ie Maxwell Coffee is no longer sold in our local store and has not been on sale for 3 months now. When asked about this they say it wasn't selling. So there you go good and bad.

Lots of the Uk Supermarkets are cheap, ASDA being one of them, Tesco's is also good, along with Morrisons and Sainsbury's. I usually do my shopping in any of the above. Does generally depend on what you want to buy, ASDA is good if you want to buy lots of different things without having to go to various shops. ASDA Walmart are the best ASDA stores to use, we have a huge one here in Bristol.

When I was training in marketing we were taught not to use the word 'cheap' because it suggested cheap and nasty. Low priced, good value were used instead.

I would suggest that Asda is low-priced and good value anywhere.

i think its cheaper than tesco. tesco's is only cheap if you buy their own branded or the value range. but compare prices of foods by companies like birdseyes, coca cola, kellogs etc then i would say asda is cheaper.

Adsa is cheap and its good quality stuff in their own brand section. Tesco might be fractionally cheaper for some things but their quality of goods and their customer service unfortunately reflects their prices.
