My husband and I decided to volunteer our time on thanksgiving day, working at some type of soup kitchen or anywhere. We live in NH and I just simply can't find any information or a place to volunteer. Can anyone help?

The world needs more people like you!!

Here are some websites you can try:
http://www.1800volunteer.org
http://www.pointsoflight.org (The Points of Light Foundation)
http://www.cns.gov (Corporation for National Community Service)
http://national.unitedway.org (The United Way)

Any of these sites should help direct you to some local opportunities. You can also check with your local volunteer center to see what's available.

Failing all that, check with your local Salvation Army, Rescue Mission and churches/synagogues. They will probably have some opportunities avaialable!

Good luck!

Hey there. I don't live in NH but perhaps you can look up the local homeless shelter in your area.
Also, please consider volunteering during the rest of the year as well, because the homeless shelters and soup kitchens are usually lousy with volunteers during the holidays but have a very hard time getting people to volunteer the whole rest of the year.
It is very gratifying any time of year.
Good luck and have fun.
