I have a game that freezes up, and I have to manually shut down the 360, however when I shut it down it grinds the disk. I bought the 360 on ebay so I don't have a warranty or anything. Is there anything I can do about this?

This is a serial problem with the first Xbox360's. About 2 - 3 months after you start using it, it freezes up. Eventually it will stop all together and not turn on anymore. There's no fix for it that I'm aware of and Microsoft has been very helpful in giving advice, but, the bottom line is, this is a design glitch that was fixed by Microsoft for the second batch of machines. They assume everybody has a warranty and they are exchanging them with out any hassles. If you don't have a warranty, there's nothing you can do other than try and approach Microsoft with serial number and see if they'll help you out.
