Do you want to buy some swamp land in Florida? That's just ridiculous. Your Aunt is a bitter woman who needs to get laid more.

I my self have been cheated on. But your aunt can not be further from the truth, not ALL men cheat!! There are women and men alike that do cheat, but then again there are women and men that do not cheat. The only reason that some one cheats on another is simply cause they don't care about or love their partner and they can't say that they do. There is absolutely no excuse for any one to cheat. They have no respect for them selves, their partner, the one they cheated on with or anybody else. They are selfish pigs that only think of them selves. There are a few good people out there that really know how to treat a person good. But tell your aunt that just because she got hurt by some one does not mean that she has to put all the rest of the people down. The old saying that one bad apple spoils it for the whole bunch is true to it's words. Like I said, I have been cheated on before and don't plan on ever getting involved with another man, BUT if I do he had better be one heck of a guy and treat me so good. It would take awhile for me to learn to ever trust again that is for sure.

Women don't admit that their husbands cheat because they believe it's their fault many marriages the husband has never cheated because they are great men. My father for example has never once looked at another woman and him and my mom have been married for 35 years. It's common in these days for either partner to cheat because sometimes people just look at it as acceptable and don't think that there is anything wrong with it. Today society doesn't have the same marriage foundations as people years ago did. It's very sad because I am a firm believer in people staying inside their own bedrooms and not cheating. I hope my husband when I marry will have the same morals and values I have. Good Luck in your situation.

Your Aunt is carrying some baggage.

Not all men cheat. Not all women cheat. Somewhere in the middle they 'can or could' cheat, but not "all."

I've known both men and women who've cheated. Your Aunt has to realize one simple fact: If a man cheats, who is he cheating with? Only single women? If that's the case, the women he's cheating with is also cheating. Though she may be single, she's still a part of the problem while allowing someone else to cheat.

The same goes for both men and women.

Do single men cheat with single women? It can't happen. But in the eyes of your Aunt I would assume she would see it differently. Which is just plain sad (and wrong.)

If all men cheat, according to your aunt, either they are cheating with themselves, or all women also cheat.

Answers or comments with absolutes such as all men cheat are typically suspect, and typically not accurate.

If men cheat, there are two factors, they think they can get away with it, and there is probably a woman who also doesn't hold his marriage in high regard.

In other words, she too is cheating, even if she is not married. She is cheating against what marriage and comittment mean.

This is not an anti-woman thing, but an anti-stereotype thing.

I have to say that I write from the perspective of a faithful man whose wife cheated on me and left for an OLDER man who was willing to leave his 30+ year marriage.

So I am one data point to prove your aunt wrong ;)

Cheating is not a gender issue, it's a character issue, and character issues are equal opportunity issues. There are folks with bad character of both genders.

Well your aunt is wrong, not all men cheat, just like not all women cheat. The bad thing about generalizations like that, is that the Innocent are convicted with the guilty. It seems that your aunt must have been cheated on and maybe more than one time and is not bitter towards all men. Maybe she needs to look at the type of men she is going after or at herself.

Actually your aunt sounds like a wise person.
There is a lot more infidelity going on than people admit.
This attitude is an approach that was used before divorces were readily available. It allowed women who could not get out to cope.

Your aunt is wrong. Not all men cheat, and not all divorced women become the "other woman."

Not all men cheat.

It's true that a lot of women let it pass when their husbands cheat.

Other women never find out.

And then some women suspect but don't try to find out.

A few women let they cheat for a variety of reasons.

Women who are cheated on may justify it to themselves by thinking all men cheat.
