I've tried doing all of those "do these offers and get a free ipod" things...but they were pretty much rip offs. and i've heard of certain places where you just fill out some surveys and then you get a free ipod..or laptop..or whatever. anybody know of a website i could go to?

They're all like that. They all require you to fill out surveys, sign up for spam emails, or to take part in some trial of something.

While it IS possible to get the items from these sites for free (I read an article on how these guys got a free Xbox in an EGM magazine), all the time and energy you'll spend in order to get your free item will not be worth it.

You are right. Those "free offers" are all ripoffs--they're all trying to sell you something!

The only way I know of to get something free (to you, at least!) is for someone to give it to you as a gift.

(Hint: Christmas is coming--put the ipod on your "wish list" for your family and friends!)
