I like the idea. Theres too much pressure in that department and with uniforms you wont be judged so early on until they get to know YOU. However,i agree with self expression. Maybe dress your way Fridays or something.

I'm not in high school anymore...i graduated in 2001, but looking back on it, i think uniforms would have been a good idea. It would equal the playing field a little more i think, and there wouldn't be so much emphasis on what brand name everyone is wearing and stuff. Plus, there were tons of dumb restrictions already on what we could wear (like no spaghetti straps, no alcohol-brand stuff, etc) so it might have just been easier if we had to all wear the same thing. It would have been a lot easier for me everyday, instead of deciding what to wear every morning!

Yes. I think it'll cut out the useless competition between and envy of some students. If everyone - regardless of social standing - wears a uniform it will help promote more interest in learning than some of the foolishness that goes on in the schools. I'm all for it regardless of what grade level.

When I was in High School I cringed at the thought of uniforms but know I have seen a few that was kinda cute... but it still leaves hardly any room for individuality...

I think they are a good idea. I think they will remove a distraction from the kids and reduce behavioral problems, such as teasing.
However, only if they are either inexpensive or subsidized for low income families.

I think its a good idea because it would make evryone equals.... at school at least. No body would have better clothes than someone else. Plus you could save money from buying school clothes.

No. I think our kids are forced to be molded enough in their thinking, why make them dress like robots too?

yes... I'm sick and tired of boys walking around with their pants below their hips and their boxers and but hanging out... and 14 yr old girls dressing like hookers with their thongs sticking out... and upper middle class white bread guys dressing like they came from poverty stricken inner city housing projects and making like they are gangbangers...
