Should I stay on varsity basketball and not have much playing time, or should I move down to sophmore basketball where I'll get plenty of playing time? I think being on varisty can improve my game, but so can plenty of playing time on the sophmore level. Tell me what you think...

Seriously, the same question was posed to me this year, but the coach changed up (He couldn't put me on because I am a freshman, and there were too many seniors, so it would be kinda like disrespect...), but I really considered varsity. Go with varsity, cuz basically, you'll be able to practice w/varsity, and you'll get better. With sophomores, you'll prolly bring your game down to their level, and it might not turn out so good...and w/varsity, the coach is sorta telling you that maybe next year or the year after, the team could be yours...Good Luck & God Bless!

talk to your coach about being a swing player.. play varsity and sophmore.. Our local school does that. get the play time at the lower level and keep the spot on the varsity team as a sub when needed. Will mean more travel for you since you have to go to both games.

If you are a freshman or sophomore, I would advise moving down to the JV team and getting all the playing time you can. If the varsity and JV both practice at different times, ask the varsity coach if you can practice with them - if your academic schedule permits this and your parents agree.

Learn to make use of each your fingers for dribbling and in addition train now not watching down whilst dribbling. Going in both course and being capable to peer whats taking place round you're going to make you higher.

I think you should go up to sophmore because it really depends if you have a jump shot or defense or anything that cn help you win so you should. you will defintely improve your game.
