Are Sleep number Bed's really that great? I'd like some real testimonials, not just the ones they make up for the commercials.

We have a nautilus air chamber bed & love it! I'm 125 lbs & my hubby is 285 lbs so, i would wind up sleeping twisted on hump = back pain everyday. Because of his size, we would go through even the good mattresses in about a year & a half to two years. That get's expensive! The nautilus has a 20 year warranty & was WELL worth the $1800 we paid for it.

just came back from a business trip at the radison hotel in Minneapolis
as you might have heard all radison hotels feature the numbers bed
i really have wanted to get one but was skeptical to buy one without actually sleeping on one
well let me tell you
everyone spent more time talking about the bed and what number they were than business
it was 3 nights of the most comfortable sleep i can remember as i have slight scoliosis and my back often aches on my regular mattress-not one ache! on this bed
everyone said how they loved the bed
i like it very firm and my husband softer
we were both happy
i could feel while adjusting the bed the mattress moving to the spot i need the most support
and the beauty is you can change it depending on how you feel that night
i came home and ordered one on qvc and can't wait until it arrives

My husband and I have had one for years!! He had to have back surgery and needed a firm mattress to sleep on, well to me that was like sleeping in a board. So we tried the sleep numbered bed. His side is hard as a rock and mine is as he puts it "a hog wallow" lol really soft. We both get the best sleep and I'm looking forward to updating ours this next year. GOOD LUCK and I highly recommend getting one!

The research says "Yes." But I have heard and seen of one better! It also uses air, but air chambers are done so that there is no sinking in the middle for better body alignment and support. Not only that but it also contains magnets and far infrared for pain relief and a healing restoring sleep. It is the new Nikken sleep system. I am getting one.
