Because America seems to be the last vestige of hope in an otherwise power corrupted world.
It is simply morally wrong for America to stay home and ignore the pain and suffering in other parts of the world.
And America does provides for its own people - more than any other industrialized nation in the world - and anyone "starving" in this country is unnecessary and an exception to the reality.
Even illegal aliens that continue to flood into this country - would this alleged starvation be happening if they starved shortly after arriving?
I think not.

America has always been the most generous country in the world. We are always 1st in line to help anyone anywhere in the world. Without asking for anything in return.
If you haven't been in the lower class neighborhoods recently, there are many overweight people in our poor neighborhoods. So obviously they have enough to eat and corporations and individuals donate canned food on a daily or weekly basis.

Malaysia is a third international u . s ., and no u . s . could be ranked in line with income on my own yet social aspects like crime fee, racial tolerance, standards of residing, point of happiness, etc. there is no component being prosperous if the crime fee is super intense and the persons stay pointlessly in rat race, as an occasion. Edit: a grimy prosperous u . s . indicated by potential of intense GDP in line with capita does no longer propose certainly everyone has an identical equivalent income to earn and spend. Very prosperous countries have intense unequal wealth distribution hollow.

Not to the extent that they do. In countries like ours, we have poor people who are FAT! As for your question about why help Third World countries-- the best answer is, to keep them all from coming here, outnumbering us, and dispossessing us! It's national denfense!

That's a very good question, but unfortunately it isn't just black and white.. everything that happens in other countries, does affect the rest of the world, including our country, it becomes a domino effect

There is no reason for any American to be starving, unless they are protesting something. If you know someone who is starving feed them, and show them how to use a phone.

Anything helping the American people will never help the American Government agenda, that is to gain strength by helping countries that cannot help themself. After the Aid it can be used as leverage is something needs to be done.

If we spend money wisely (less port, more over site) then there is no reason why we can't do both. There are billions of dollars wasted every year.
