do you decorate?

for the holidays? do you do elaborate decor or do you just put up a tree and a few lights? i need some ideas could you help?

I trash up my house so it looks like a ho from a small town out on her first big night! Lights everywhere, glitter, sparkle, tinsel, if I can put a twinkle on it, I will. I have about 18 boxes of Christmas stuff and use most of it every year! (some of it's sentimental, from the last year maman was alive, so I don't put it out, but everything else goes!)

I do decorate but nothing elaborate. I do put up a tree and lights but nothing like some people do nowadays.

Put up a tree (of coure) with lights and ornaments. And then outside buy some lights (whatever kinda you like..maybe just multicolor or those icicle ones) and just outline your house...around your gutters possibly. I think those little christmas light trees are really cute..they go up in a spiral and they're made for outdoors. Also if you want to spend some money, those inflatables are cute. There's like a gazillion to choose from.

I don't do elaborate but i don't do designer color coordinated either. I think that at this time of year the gaudier the better. Christmas is for my girls and my girls love sparkles, lights and glitter. There can't be too much..

heck yeah!.... I didn't go to art school for nothing. this is just a one time celebration (in a year i mean) ... anyway trees and lights a part of it...there are more of it! coloured your house with bright colored things like red socks, or golden/silver ornaments.... but not too much you don't want your house to be like a cake - beutiful but too much decor

I go all out on each holiday, I put lights, ornaments, trees if it recalls it, oh man everything goes up and out.

Simple is best. It's dignified. Elaborate can be quite gaudy.
