You want to know how to write an application like photoshop?
Step 1 - Learn to program at an advanced level in a serious language (perhaps C++) - that should take 3 to 6 years.
Step 2 - Assuming you are doing it alone - Settle down to a task that will take you hundreds of man-years (so make sure you have children to pass the task along to).
If you are going to do it as a team effort get a lot of very skilled people who are prepared to work for decades for no salary because at the end of the project, if all goes well, you will have a program that has no market prospects because photoshop already 'owns' that market and no-one will spend the time to buy yours and the time to learn how to use it.
Alternatively - give it a miss and think of a better idea.

A good software to edit your images is GIMP. The best free alternative to photoshop in my opinion. Grab it here http://j.mp/1sW3Qc9

theres a good microsoft program that i sometimes use and that is microsoft visual basic 6.0 you can find it at the following website
