why are alot of good looking/handsom men gay.?....jake shears , george micheal..etc

Gay men look just the same as straight men, some have pleasing features, some do not, and its really what is attractive to you. I, for instance, do not find George Michael's type of features, attractive.
However, I believe most gay men take care of themselves better. They learn to groom and dress themselves and most straight men, just don't bother or they leave it up to the women in their lives.

I wouldn't conisder MOST gay men to be good-looking, but they tend to take pride in their appearance and dress sense.
However, there are a small percentage of gay men who can be devastatingly good-looking, and I've been lucky enough to have had three of them as past boyfriends.
They aren't better people, or any different in bed of course, but when they're fast asleep, there is the overwhelming temptation to brush their hair or polish them with "Mr Sheen" and a soft duster.

Gay men seem to spend more time grooming than straight men (in general any way) I'm rather offended by all the comments about lesbians looking butch or like roy orbison!! Could you lot drag yourself into this century please!! Take a look around the lipstick lesbian is in and i'm proud to admit that i am not butch and love my feminine features.
That's a bit like saying all gay men are weak with limp wrists, not where i hang out they're not!!!

I wouldn't agree with you,I know a lot of people and I can tell you that not all gay people are handsome,it is like saying that all straight men are ugly.People are good looking because they pay attention to their looks some more some less-it doesn't make them necessarily gay.

well, there are also many unattractive people who a gay too. gay men are a little more concerned about beauty because they have a very sex oriented life( not everyone, of course) and for that reason they need to look after themselves, but I think straight men are doing the same nowadays.

gay men are no better looking then str8 men in general, it's just that allot of society has demonized gay men as being some kind of freaks, now that coming out is easier more men are coming out and being recognized, there are good looking and not so good looking gay men, the same goes with str8 men

It's the Gay Gene....seriously though, it more than likely has to do with the simple fact that men who like men want them to be fit and muscular, in other words physical specimen of manliness. Most gay men work out and tend to be good looking for that very reason.

i know what you mean. i ask myself that same question too, seeing as with my favourite male celebrities for example, some of them are gay. its a shame but having said that they're also a lot of good looking straight guys too in the world, so all's not lost!
