I think San Fran will bring him back in the hopes he will break the record next year. They need the attendence to pay off that stadium and that does seem to be the only place in America where Bonds is actually liked. If they do pass, I can't imagine another team willing to give him much to take him and most don't want him simply because of his knee, off-field problems and the fact that he is a well-known cancer in the clubhouse. Yankees don't need any more hitters - they need pitching. Detroit doesn't want him (despite what so many idiots think) because they don't want the distractions and media circus (and they just got Sheff). Boston is run by idiots - maybe they'll take him.
Seriously - I think he'll return to San Fran for one more year and then retirement.
Edit - Kurt - you are one of those idiots obviously - Tigers are not interested in Bonds and never were. They just forked out three pitchers and $13-14 mil a year for a DH (Sheffield). Why the hell would they want Bonds?

He needs to retire. If he is only coming back to break a record, that is lame. Play the game because you love it, not to have your name imortalized in some book.
He will be a serious sore in any clubhouse. Yes, he probably needs to go to an AL team where he can DH. His fielding is horrible. I would take Big Frank over Bonds any day of the week.
Baseball is a team sport. And just because you can whack the ball around for home runs, you must mesh with the rest of the players on the team. Personally I think he should have retired last year. But then, I have never liked bonds since he was a pirate.

I hope not!!! I would love to see him back in a Giants uniform.
JF doesn't know what she is talking about, Detroit is one of the teams that is interested in Bonds, along with St. Louis, Texas, Angels and Yankees so far.

The Giants said they don't want him, so.. yeah, he's leaving. He'll probably go to an AL team where he won't have to play the field, and just be a DH. He wants that home run record. He'll also try to go to a strong team, so he'll have a run at a ring before he retires.

He'll go to the A.L. to be a D.H., probably a small market were he can go unnoticed, not the yankees or red sox. My guess would be the Blue Jays, Mariners or Oroiles.

I really cannot see him leaving SF. If he does he goes to an AL team where he can be a full time DH. A west coast team.

He most likely will go into retirement if he does not play for the pathetic Giants. Let's hope so, so we can all be spared the fallout from this steroid offender.
Cow!!
