If you came to work and it is not for the money, give yourself a pat on the back. You are a lucky and happy person. The place where you work is lucky to have you. The reason is lots of people are not in that situation.
Now coming to why that would be the case. You are likely finding a fulfillment of a purpose. That could be because you understand and believe in your organization's mission and you are doing your part playing to your strengths. If that sounds too high flying, it could be simply like this. You believe in your boss that he/she is upto something good, you want to help him/her achieve some goals, he/she treats you well, he/she values your work, and you like the people whom you are working with. In addition, the organization is paying you reasonably so that you can pay your bills and take care of your family. Does that make sense for you?
