Punk, but disco influenced post-punk is pretty cool too. While some of the post-punkers thought disco was **** (most likely due to its uber cheesiness, its corperate-ness and its homicidal tendencies towards live music), others thought, **** that, all music is cheesy corperate ****- at least disco is HONEST cheesy corperate **** that you can DANCE TO. And I find that hilarious in its truthfulness.

punk without a doubt,when punk arrived in 75/76 it was different class to anything else before it and after it,disco is for ponces and puffs.sex pistols r the most influential punk/rock band ever

there was a lot of shite in both genres, although there were some great punk bands that are still about today, i would have to go disco cos you can't beat donna summer's i feel love blasting out at a million decibels on a sunday morning!
