around 3 to 4 minutes. and anywhere from 13 to 17. or something like that. Most songs are about that long because that is how long most people's attention span is.

If you are referring to a piece of sheet music, you can figure about 3 to 4 minutes.
If you are sitting in our "Rock 'n Roll" (contemporary) church service....any given piece of music may drag on forEVER! (But the young people LOVE it and attend, which is the best part).
Some of our old standard Methodist Hymns have a dozen or more verses, so the older group can sing songs that seem to go on forEVER too! Probably causing many an eye roll in the young group.
At a concert, many pieces can last 10 to 15 minutes per concerto. Sometimes delightful, sometimes clock watchers.
When my husband was orchestra director at high schools, he and the Choral teachers shared the program. His orchestra could only play three to four numbers, while the chorus was able to sing a dozen during the time alloted (about 45 minutes)!
Now, there's the programs....pick yer choice!

2.5-3.5 minutes with some exceptions. Probably about 15-20 unless it's really long ie. "I would do anything for love" is 10 minutes long.
