You might get an equation if the oxide is a basic oxide. The aqueous form of this basic oxide will form alkaline solution, which reacts with CO2 (acidic gas).
E.g CaO in water forms Ca(OH)2 [limewater]. Reacts with CO2 to get CaCO3. Or, the removal of CO2 from air by passing air through sodium hydroxide.
