Spelling isn't impotent, but it is important. Changing the spelling of just one word in a sentance can sometimes change the whole meaning of the sentance.

it can have great amount of power, not impotent at all. did you know that at least in english don't know about other lang. that even with most the letters missing or misspelled most can still read it. however that being said many will judge on fact of misspelled words (resumes etc) which is why most compt and sites have a spell check device.

YES!!!
Now that everyone is writing wicked fast on the internet, no one seems to care about spelling or grammer anymore. Not only is poor spelling annoying, but it reflects negatively on the writer.

yes. The way you speak helps influence the way you spell. If you pronounce words the way they are supposed to be pronounced, then you will spell better. If you have an accent, try getting around it to pronounce the words correctly.

oh yes. ovviously. Just as punctuation marks are necesary, spellings too are importent... Imagin saying "I was feeling week for one whole weak" instead of saying "I was feeling weak for one whole week".
And for the punctuation marks, take "Hang him not, free him". Just if u change the comma to come after him, "Hang him, not free him." See how the meaning totally changes!! :-)
