As well as the Dyak people, there is another group called the Orang Asli. This is the Malay for first people. Orang actually means 'man'. The local primates of the forest are the Orang Utang.
Many of the tribes have been displaced by logging in West Malaysia but much earlier by the British East India Company when they brought the rubber plants from Kew Gardens to establish the Malayan rubber plantations between 1900 and 1930.

As the Malaysian rainforest is mainly in the Malaysian half of Borneo, you might try consulting travel guides (Lonely Planet etc) which include Borneo.
