Why do engineers keep making cars, turcks, and suvs more "boxy"? When then are more round arnt they more aerodynamic? So if there more aerodynamic wouldnt they be safer?

Aerodynamics make a vehicle more efficient, not necessarily safer. Auto manufacturers try to put out there what people will buy. When I first seen these little boxes on wheels I thought it was ugly and wouldn't sell. I was wrong. They were a hit, so other companies followed suit. I don't like them but a lot of people obviously do. Great question !!

Vehicles of all types are getting more, not less, aerodynamic as time goes on. As the first responder said, fuel economy is the main reason cars have more aerodynamic designs. However, this also makes cars quieter (less wind noise), have less vibration and more stability. At very high speeds in particular, slicing through the air is much better than pushing through the air. Therefore I would say you are correct.
