Yes! I actually just talked to my Dr. about this on Monday. I have a hard time swallowing pills, so I just take the prenatal ones since they are easier to swallow than a multivitamin. They said it was fine! And good skin, nails and hair is a bonus!

Prenatal vitamins are good all-around vitamins, pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or not. They have a great amount of iron and folic acid, among other things that women need but can't always get in a generic daily vitamin. The other good thing isa that they are usually less expensive than other multivitamins, so you'll save money too.

Yes, you can take prenatal vitamins if you are not pregnant. They are just vitamins. The one possible adverse effect is that some people get nausea with some components of the vitamin (Iron, folic acid, calcium [if included]).

The "Old Wives Tale" is that pregnant women grow hair/nails longer and faster due to the prenatal vitamins but there have been no studies to prove that.

pregnant women grow thick hair and strong nails because of hormone changes in their bodies. The vitamins may help keeping the foetus healthy, but there's no harm having a pre natal vitamin instead of a multivitamin everyday. They could do their part in maintaining healthy hair and skin. Although i'm not too sure about the hair part of it, they make your nails grow like crazy.

you're extra comfortable to the chemical compounds jointly as you're pregnant. they could make you very dizzy and could even make you pass out if there is no longer adequate ventilation. this is probable why you threw up. you're able to probable stay faraway from solid chemical compounds like hair dye for the the remainder of the being pregnant on account which you would be extra comfortable to it then different people. in case you notice which you threw the pill returned up, i do no longer see any injury in taking yet another one.

I think you can, but they made me sick, so there's no way I would take them if I weren't pregnant.
