My boyfriend recently bought a low-mileage 2004 Jetta TDI sedan. Love the car, love the mileage (diesels rule!), but the trunk is a pain. It takes 2 hands to open & close it with the strength of Arnold Schwartzeneger - he is not generally handy, and since I often have 1 hand full of grocery bags when I am needing to close it - I need suggestions on how to fix this, please!

A low mileage 04 is probably still under manufacturer warranty.
Take it to a VW dealer & they should be able to correct it.

i own a repair shop, and if it has the small struts on it and the springs under neath of t ,you can adjust the prings by changing the location of the holes there in,but if it just has the struts on it there's no adjustment that can be made to it at all good luck,i hope this help,s.
