Hell and Heaven are only in the HEREAFTER. But Utopia can be created here and now if only there are enough number of idealists to go around.

Utopia literally means 'no place'. 'topia' refers to place or location, and the 'u' is a negation, thus, nowhere. This was the word coined by Thomas More for the title of his book describing a utopian society of his creation, partly in response and as an extended metaphor for political issues of his time taking place in England. Lots of people think utopia refers to something in your own mind, as in an ideal or what not, but the word is being misused. The word those people are looking for is Chimera, which in turn is a mythical animal. I don't really know the origin of thi one though, nor why a mythical animal is used to refer to an ideal system or belief.

Utopia is a state of mind. For some, it is like heaven on earth. Utopia can also mean balance, no good or evil... A person can achieve it only if he/ she is in a complete state of balance and harmony...

You can find it in your library. Sir Thomas More wrote a book with that as the title early in the 16th century. It describes an ideal country where generosity and sharing, equality and justice create a perfect society.

There have been many books since More's that outline some way to achieve that complete contentment for all, and they are classified as Utopian books.

More, himself was beheaded because he refused to condone or accept Henry VIII's divorce and his break with Rome. The movie, "A Man For A Seasons" describes his life. An admirable life.

Utopia is in our minds. It is the tip of Maslov's triangle, where body, spirit, soul and mind come together as one, even if for only a moment in time.

Utopia is not a place, it is a concept. that concept changes with the individual, but it is supposed to be a person's conception of a perfect society.
