If you were to have a bricked area externally rendered, say aprox 40 m², how long would you expect it to last without cracking or should you expect it to crack as it is a large area?

Sounds like you are not happy with a job someones done ?

I'm guessing you've used cement render. Although this goes rock hard, and hardly the most environmentally friendly coating in the world, it should not crack.

If the area is longer than 10 metres in eithr direction its best to put a 25 mm expansion gap as te wall behind it will expand and shrink throughout the year.

40m2, isn't that about 6x6 metres, thats not such a bit area, sounds like the side of a small house to me...should'd crack. Sounds like it dried too quick. If it was hot or windy it might have shrunk and cracked. You shouldn't need to revisit it for 10-30 years depending on how good it is, if you are lucky it can last much longer

As this is built up in layers it is unlikely it will crack all the way through.
As rendering is the top coat i would expect it to last at least 10 years

Erm...im not completely sure, but try checking with your local doctor. I dont know if its entirely possible to do this. But it might be. I think what youll have to do is just press render on the screen and see if that works. Or go into options and change some settings then try again.
